12 Best LARGE HOUSEPLANTS to Grow – Low Maintenance Indoor Plants

Large plants inside are the secret to turning your home into a green oasis. Generally a collection of many small plants end up feeling very cluttered and tends to be quite high maintenance. Whereas a few specially placed large houseplants can totally transform the energy in a room instantly.

Large plants are often easier to care for as well. Since they have been happily growing for sometime to get to that large state, they often are more robust with healthier root systems than small plants. They can typically handle more neglect as well, rarely needing any special care or outgrowing their location.

In this video I go through my top 12 large houseplants. I showcase how they will look inside your home as well as give some specialized care tips to ensure you are getting the most out of your plants. I end the video by giving some instructive tips on how to safely and cleanly transport your plants home from the garden center. #houseplants #indoorgarden #gardening

  1. 10:30 What is the orange-flower plant behind you?

…and, thank you, this is the exact video I’ve been looking for. I have too many smaller plants and am looking for large plants to add height. Right now, I have medjool date plants which are tall, and the Macho ferns which are tall and wide. I’m leaning toward getting a strelitzia next, as I already have a monstera.
