  2. not using herbs does not make you food less tasty, you just need to know how to cook for the best out the basic foods

  3. I love that you left your propagated Basil with a ton of leaves. THIS is where most YouTubers go wrong. Leave the leaves when propagating basil. It will keep growing leaves while growing roots even faster.

Many years ago, I was harvesting in the garden – full hands, dropped my shears, so just grabbed and ripped. I mangled multiple “branches” from the then 3ish year-old basil “bush” (originally from Trader Joe’s produce dept. now over-wintered in 7 gallon pot) before ripping one off. Later, came back to cut the mangled branches, just dropped them into a jar of water on the normal kitchen window mangled shredded stem, thick full of leaves. Roots shot out and was THICK with roots in less than a week. potted that one up and gave it to a friend. He still has it also. This was at least 5 years ago.

  4. Amazing information and fantastic presentation. One of the best of all the channels I follow for all kinds of different topics!

  5. This is exactly what I needed to see! I’ve always wanted a kitchen herb garden but was worried about not having enough light. The tip about which herbs can handle a windowsill vs. grow lights was so helpful. Starting my basil and mint today!
